Judge Drops Five Charges Against Diddy in $30M Assault Lawsuit – But Key Claims Remain

Sean “Diddy” Combs just scored a partial legal win in his ongoing $30 million lawsuit, as a judge tossed out five of the charges against him. However, serious allegations still remain on the table.
The case was filed by music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who accused Diddy of racketeering, emotional distress, sexual assault, and more. In a new court ruling, Judge J. Paul Oetken dismissed claims related to racketeering, breach of contract, and infliction of emotional distress, among others.
What Charges Were Dismissed?
Diddy no longer faces:
✅ Racketeering allegations
✅ Negligent & intentional infliction of emotional distress
✅ Breach of contract
✅ Claims under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act
However, the judge refused to drop Jones’ sexual assault and liability claims, meaning the case is far from over.
Lawsuit Details & Accusations
Jones first took legal action in February 2024, accusing Diddy of making unwanted sexual advances and coercing him into hiring sex workers. He also claimed that Combs frequently used and distributed drugs like ecstasy and cocaine, possessed illegal firearms, and laced alcoholic drinks at his parties.
Adding to the drama, the judge also criticized Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, calling his behavior “unsettling.”
The lawsuit stems from Jones’ time working on Diddy’s Grammy-nominated album, The Love Album: Off the Grid. Since filing, he has made multiple revisions to his complaint.
What’s Next?
With the most serious claims still in play, this legal battle is far from settled. Diddy’s legal team continues to fight the remaining charges, while Jones pushes forward with his allegations.
